Jamal ad-Din (astronomer)



Jamal ad-Din, also spelt Jamal ud-Din, was a 13th-century Persian astronomer. In Chinese sources, he is referred to as (Chinese: 扎馬魯丁) and is credited with having given seven astronomical instruments to Kublai Khan, including a Persian globe and an armillary sphere, in 1267 CE.
