Japanese miniaturization culture
In Japan, some people claim that an extensive miniaturization culture has arisen. For example, a foldable umbrella whose size is just a quarter the size of a usual umbrella has been developed, not to mention miniaturization in cellular telephony and other innovations such as "capsule hotels".
