Jayant Patel
Jayant Mukundray Patel (born April 10, 1950) is a surgeon who found himself at the centre of a political scandal in early 2005 when he was accused of gross incompetence while working at Bundaberg Base Hospital in Queensland, Australia. He has sometimes been nicknamed "Doctor Death" in Australian media, particularly newspapers such as Brisbane's The Courier-Mail.
