Jack Smith (film director)
Jack Smith (14 November 1932 in Columbus, Ohio - 25 September 1989 in New York City) was a US-American film director, an actor, and one of the pioneers of American underground cinema. He is generally acclaimed as a founding father of American Performance Art, and has been critically recognized as a master American photographer, though his photographic works are rare remain generally unknown at-large.
