The nations of the Kwakiutl District Council are all Kwakwaka'wakw (speakers of Kwak'wala).

KWRS KWRS, also known as Spokane's Pirate Radio, is a non-commercial college radio station specializing in indie and alternative rock. The Spokane-based station broadcasts out of the Hixon Union Building (or 'HUB') at Whitworth College.
KWST KWST, "K-West 106" was a rock station in Los Angeles, which had been a beautiful music station prior to January 1, 1975 (the station had originally signed on as KFI-FM July 15, 1946, later becoming KBMS in 1958 before adopting the KWST call letters in 1969). K-West emulated the then-popular sound of KMET & KLOS.
