Karl Mollweide



Karl Brandan Mollweide, (* February 3, 1774 in Wolfenbüttel; † March 10, 1825 in Leipzig) was a German mathematician and astronomer in Halle and Leipzig. He discovered trigonometric formulas and invented a map projection that are both named after him.
