Kapolei, Hawaii
Kapolei, Hawaii, despite its status as an incorporated community within the City and County of Honolulu in Hawaii, is designated as an unofficial city on the island of Oahu colloquially called The Second City. The name "kapolei" is derived from that of a nearby cinder cone: Puâ€u o Kapolei—in Hawaiian, pu'u meaning "hill" and kapo lei meaning "beloved Kapo" (a sister of Pele).
