Khorugh
The town of Khorog (Tajik Хорӯғ, also transliterated as Khoroq, Khorogh, Khorugh, or Xoroq) is the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan autonomous region in Tajikistan. It has a population of 28,000 (2000 census).
