Kagoshima Main Line
The Kagoshima Main Line (éążĺ…島本線) is a major part of the JR Kyushu rail network and runs between Moji-ko, in Kitakyushu, and Kagoshima, at the southern end of KyĹ«shĹ«. Until March 13 2004, it covered 393 kilometers between its two termini; however, with the opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen on March 13, the section between Yatsushiro and Sendai was transferred to the third-sector Hisatsu Orange Railway Company.
