Khums
Khums is the Arabic word for One Fifth (1/5). Adherents to the Shi'a sect of Islam normally pay one fifth of their income (including realized and recognised gains on stocks and real estates) to clerics, thinking that it is imposed by Allah (God) through his messenger, Prophet Mohammed Ibn Abdulla.
