Kefalovryso, Ioannina



Kefalovryso (Greek, Modern: Κεφαλόβρυσο, Ancient/Katharevousa: -on, alternative romanizations: Kefalovrysso, Kefalovriso, Kefalovryson, Kefalovrison, Kefalovrysson) is a town of about 1,100 and the seat of the municipality of Ano Pogoni in the northern part of the prefecture of Ioannina. The name comes from [kefalos head] + βρύσο vryso, a form of βρύση vrysi a [[spring (hydrosphere)|spring).
