Khatib



Khatib or khateeb (خطيب khaṭīb) is an Islamic Arabic term used to describe a person who delivers the sermon (khuṭbah), during the Friday prayer or Eid prayers. The khatib also leads the prayers on Friday and during the Eid prayer.
