Karl Paul Caspari



Karl Paul Caspari (8th of February 1814 Dessau, Anhalt - 11th of April 1892 Christiania) was a German Lutheran theologian and orientalist born of Jewish parents. He studied at Leipzig and Berlin, and became a Christian in 1838, in 1857 was appointed professor of theology at Christiania, having declined invitations to Rostock and Erlangen.
