Kariba Dam
The Kariba Dam is a hydroelectric dam in the Kariba Gorge of the Zambezi river basin between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It controls 40% of the total runoff of the Zambezi River, thus changing the downstream ecology quite dramatically.
