Large extra dimension
In particle physics, the ADD model, also known as the model with large extra dimensions, is a scenario inspired by string theory to explain the weakness of gravity relatively to other forces in which the fields of the Standard Model are confined to a higher-dimensional membrane, while gravity can propagate in several additional spatial dimensions that are compact but large. The model was proposed by Nima Arkani-Hamed, Savas Dimopoulos, and Gia Dvali in 1998.
