Landscape of forestry



Forestry is concerned with the study and management of forests for the primary purpose of obtaining a timber harvest. The landscape treatment of forests is concerned with the non-timber objectives which can be obtained by conserving and developing forests: scenic quality, water quality, recreation, wildlife conservation and other environmental goods.
