Laser rot
Laser rot (or LaserRot, after the original, camel cased product name "LaserDisc") was a phenomenon observed by some users of early software in the Laserdisc format. Laser rot occurred when poorly made laserdiscs which were made with inferior adhesives suffered oxidation and resultant loss of data.
