Lean's Engine Reporter
Lean's Engine Reporter was a trade journal describing the new inventions in the field of steam engines in such a way that other miners could copy them and improve. The journal has been suggested as an early precursor of the free software movement, in which people engaged in collaborative development of technical knowledge.
