Lars Hall, Petter Johansson, Sverker Sikström, from Lund University Cognitive Science and Andreas Olsson, a graduate student in NYU's Department of Psychology, carried out an interesting experimental investigation of the human capacity for self-deception and choice blindness The Choice Blindness Lab. Reporting on Hall's experiment Helen Phillips notes that: "People were shown pairs of cards with pictures of faces on them and asked to choose the most attractive.
