Lancet window
A lancet window is a tall narrow window with a pointed arch at its top Buffalo Architecture accessed 24 October 2006 It acquired the "lancet" name from it resemblence to a lance Encyclopedia Britannica Online accessed 24 October 2006. Instances of this architectural motif are most often found in Gothic and ecclesiastical structures, where they are often placed singularly or in pairs.
