Landsmanshaftn
A landsmanshaftn (also landsmanshaft, landsmanschaft, or landsmanschaftn) is a Jewish benefit society of immigrants from the same town or region. These aid organizations were established to deal with social, economic, and cultural problems, and provided a social framework for mutual assistance.
