Lane Allen Evans (born August 4 1951) has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1983 until January 3, 2007, representing the 17th District of Illinois. The district is based in Illinois' share of the Quad Cities area and includes Rock Island, Moline, Quincy, Decatur,Galesburg
