Ladder theory
The Ladder Theory is a pop psychology explanation of the ways in which men and women evaluate members of the opposite sex upon first impressions, and how this determines the other's potential as a future sexual partner. It asserts that this decision for potential sexual activity with the other is typically made quickly, and is often final.
