Laz language
The Laz language (lazuri, ášáá–áŁá á or lazuri nena, ášáá–áŁá á áśá”áśá in Laz; ášáá–áŁá á, lazuri, or áááśáŁá á, chanuri, in Georgian) is spoken by the Laz people on the Southeast shore of the Black Sea. It is estimated that there are between 50,000 and 500,000 native speakers of Laz in Turkey, in a strip of land extending from Melyat to the Georgian border (officially called Lazistan until 1925), and about 30,000 in Georgia.
