Left-libertarianism

Historically, the term libertarianism was coined by leftist followers of Mikhail Bakunin to describe their own, anti-statist version of socialism, as contrasted with the state socialism implemented by Leninist regimes. In much of the non-English speaking world, the term still has this meaning.
