Manuel Earnshaw



Manuel Earnshaw was a Resident Commissioner from the Philippine Islands; born in Cavite, Philippine Islands, November 19, 1862; attended the Ateneo de Manila and the Nauti School, Manila, Philippine Islands; became engaged in engineering and in the drydocking business in 1884; founder, president, and general manager of the Earnshaw Slipways & Engineering Co.; elected as an Independent candidate a Resident Commissioner to the United States and served from March 4, 1913, to March 3, 1917; was not a candidate for renomination in 1916; discontinued his former business pursuits in 1921 and lived in retirement with residence in Cavite; died in Manila, Philippine Islands, February 13, 1936; interment in Cementerio del Norte.
