Madeline Jackson



Madeline Jackson (1840 - after 1880) born Anna Madeline Jackson, was an Anglo-Indian captive and memoirist. The niece of Coverley Jackson and sister to Sir Mountstuart Jackson, she arrived in India with her brother from England only a few months prior to the outbreak of the Indian Mutiny in May, 1857.
