Meierij The Meierij van 's-Hertogenbosch (Bailiwick of Bois le Duc) was one of the four parts of the former duchy of Brabant, the others being the areas of Leuven, Brussels and Antwerp. It got its name from the Bailiff of 's-Hertogenbosch, who ruled the area in the name of the Dukes of Brabant.
Meifod Meifod is a small village 7 miles north-west of Welshpool in mid Wales on the A495 road and located in the valley of the River Vyrnwy. The River Banwy converges with the Vyrnwy approximately two miles to the west of the village.

Meigs Raid Meigs Raid (also known as the Battle of Sag Harbor) was guerrilla raid by American forces on the British at Sag Harbor, New York on May 23, 1777 during the American Revolutionary War in which six British were killed and 90 captured while the Americans suffered no casualties.
Meigs syndrome In medicine, Meigs syndrome, also Meigs' syndrome, is the triad of ovarian fibroma-thecoma (a benign tumor of the ovary), ascites and pleural effusion that resolves after the resection of the tumor. For reasons unknown, the pleural effusion is classically on the right side.
Meijer Meijer (Dutch, pronounced MY-er, ) is a regional American discount department store and grocery retailer that was founded in 1934. About half of Meijer's 176 locations are located in Michigan and others are located across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Meijer de Haan Jacob Meijer de Haan (1852-1895) was a Dutch artist born into a successful Jewish family of biscuit manufacturers, close to the study of religion, music and art. He had already had some success in the Netherlands as a painter of Jewish genre, when in winter 1888, accompanied by Isaacson, he went to Paris to continue his studies.
Meijer G-Function The G-function was defined for the first time by Meijer in 1936 as an attempt to introduce a very general function so that to include most of the known special functions as a particular case. This was not the only attempt: the hypergeometric function and MacRobert E-function had the same aim, but Meijer's G-function was able to include those as a particular case as well.
Meiji Constitution The , more commonly known as the Imperial or Meiji Constitution, was the fundamental law of the Empire of Japan from 29 November 1889 until 2 May 1947. Enacted after the Meiji Renewal, it provided for a form of constitutional monarchy based on the Prussian model, in which the Emperor of Japan was an active ruler and wielded considerable political power, but shared this with an elected diet.
Meiji oligarchy The Meiji oligarchy, as the new ruling class of Meiji period Japan is known to historians, was a privileged clique that exercised imperial power, sometimes despotically. The members of this class were adherents of kokugaku and believed they were the creators of a new order as grand as that established by Japan's original founders. Two of the major figures of this group were Okubo Toshimichi (1832-78), son of a Satsuma retainer, and Satsuma samurai Saigō Takamori (1827-77), who had joined forces with Chōshū, Tosa, and Hizen to overthrow the Tokugawa. Okubo became minister of finance and Saigō a field marshal; both were imperial councillors. Kido Koin (1833-77), a native of Chōshū, student of Yoshida Shoin, and coconspirator with Okubo and Saigō, became minister of education and chairman of the Governors' Conference and pushed for constitutional government. Also prominent were Iwakura Tomomi (1825-83), a Kyoto native who had opposed the Tokugawa and was to become the first ambassador to the United States

It occurred in the latter half of the 19th century, a period that traverses both the late Edo period (often called Late Tokugawa shogunate) and the beginning of the Meiji Era.
Meiji Shrine Meiji Jingu (明治神宮), located in Tokyo, Japan near Harajuku Station is the Shinto shrine dedicated to the souls of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken. Emperor Meiji died in 1912 and Empress Shoken in 1914.
Meiju Enho Meiju Enho, born in 1981 in Finland, is the keyboard player of the Finnish Viking/Folk Metal band Ensiferum. Meiju joined the band in 2001 following the release of their debut album Ensiferum and his played on all subsequent releases.
