Manchester Astronomical Society
Founded originally as the North Western Branch of the British Astronomical Association in 1892. The Manchester Astronomical Society, following its change of name and emphasis as a local society in 1903, can justifiably claim to have the longest continuous history of any provincial astronomical society in England.
