Managerialism
In the field of administration, observers can characterise as managerialism those systems where they perceive a preponderance or excess of managerial techniques, solutions and personnel. Thus one can disparage the bulk introduction of professional management into more traditional government departments as managerialism, or see the trend towards elevating holders of MBA degrees as evidence of a managerialist alternative to socialism and/or democracy as an organising principle in society.
