Mamertime Revolt
Mamertime Revolt (288 BC-265 BC) a revolt that started in the Greek city of Messene, modern Messina, in Magna Graecia. After Syracuse lost the Third Sicilian War, see Sicilian Wars, the city of Messene was ceded to Carthage in 307 BCE.
