Maaser Rishon
The Maaser Rishon (first tithe) or Levite Tithe, also known simply Maaser, based on the Hebrew word eser (tenth), was the tithe of produce due the Levites from produce grown in the land of Israel. In the days of the Temple in Jerusalem, the tithe was given directly to Levites.
