Many eyes fallacy

In computer security, the term many eyes fallacy (sometimes many eyeballs fallacy) refers to the dangers of overzealously applying Eric S. Raymond's famous aphorism, "given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow" (known as Linus's Law) to the security analysis of software, particularly when comparing open-source software to propietary software.
