Macvey Napier
Macvey Napier (11 April 1776 in Kirkintilloch - 11 February 1847 in Edinburgh) was a Scottish lawyer and an esteemed editor of the Encyclopædia Britannica. A hard-working scholar in his youth, he was recruited by Archibald Constable.
