Marco Polo Bridge Incident
The Marco Polo Bridge Incident ([also known as ä¸ä¸äş‹č®Š, ä¸ä¸ç›§ćşťć©‹äş‹č®Š or the Luokuochiao Incident) was a battle] between the [[Empire of Japan's Imperial Japanese Army and the Republic of China's National Revolutionary Army, marking the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). The marble bridge itself, Lugouqiao, is an architectural work of eleven arches, restored by the Kangxi Emperor (1662-1722).
