Maaveerar Day
Maaveerar Day or Heroes' Day is a day of commemoration observed by many Sri Lankan Tamils to remember the deaths of soldiers fighting for the LTTE in their struggle for a separate Tamil homeland in the Northern and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka.
