Mahte
In Latvian mythology, MÄte ("mother"), sometimes written in English as Mahte, was an epithet applied to some sixty-seventy goddesses. They were clearly distinct goddesses in most or all cases, so the term definitely referred to the mother-goddess of specific phenomena.
