Marcist Revolution



On March 6, 1845, the people of Guayaquil, Ecuador, revolted against the government of the General Juan José Flores under the leadership of General António Elizalde and Lieutenant-Colonel Fernándo Ayarza. The people took the artillery barracks of Guayaquil along with other military and civilian supporters, including the guard on duty.
