Manufacturing Message Specification
Manufacturing Message Specification (MMS) is an ISO 9506 standard. Control Networks uses the MMS protocol and a reduced OSI stack with the TCP/IP protocol in the transport/network layer, and Ethernet and/or RS-232C as physical media.
