Manon Lescaut (Puccini)
Manon Lescaut is a "dramma lirico", or opera, in four acts by Giacomo Puccini to an Italian libretto by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Marco Praga, Giuseppe Giacosa, Domenico Oliva and Luigi Illica, based on L’histoire du chevalier des Grieux et de Manon Lescaut by Abbé Prévost. The publisher, Giulio Ricordi, and the composer himself also contributed to the libretto.
