Madragana
Madragana, later known as Maior Afonso or Mor Afonso, was born circa 1230 in Faro, Portugal to Aloandro Ben Bekar (or Bakr; also known as Aldroando Gil), Governor of Faro, a Mozarab (an Iberian Christian living under Muslim domination), descendant of Bakr Ben Yahia and of Yahia Ben Bakr.
