The Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro, TN is the 39th largest Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in the United StatesPopulation in Combined Statistical Areas (CSAs) in Alphabetical Order and Numerical and Percent Change for the United States and Puerto Rico: 1990 and 2000 and the largest metropolitan area in the state of Tennessee, encompassing its north central section. It was originally formed by the United States Census Bureau in 1950 and consisted of Davidson County, Tennessee.
