National Youth String Orchestra of Scotland

The National Youth String Orchestra of Scotland and its Training School were established in 1969 to give young string players of a wide range of abilities the opportunity to play, in large string orchestras, music which perhaps they would not be able to experience in their local situation. The works studied and performed are from the rich string repertoire stretching from the 17th century to the present day.
