NgÄti Toa

NgÄti Toa (NgÄti Toarangatira) is an iwi (New Zealand MÄori tribe) descended from the eponymous ancestor Toarangatira. The NgÄti Toa region extends from Miria-te-kakara at Rangitikei, to Wellington, across Cook Strait to Wairau and Nelson.
