Neodymium(III) chloride
Neodymium(III) chloride, also known as neodymium trichloride, is NdCl3. This anhydrous compound is a mauve-coloured solid that rapidly absorbs water on exposure to air to form a purple-coloured hexahydrate, NdCl3.
