Nacatamal



Nacatamal is a famous dish originating in Nicaragua, but also customary of Honduras and El Salvador consisting of "masa" (made from corn meal, milk and lard mixed with ground potatoes, green peppers, onions, garlic, salt and spices) and "relleno" consisting of pork or chicken, tomatoes, rice, garlic, onions, potatoes, and mint leaves. The "relleno" may optionally include olives, raisins or fresh chile.
