PERLMAN, Nathan David, a Representative from New York; born in Poland August 2 1887; immigrated to the United States in 1891 with his mother, who settled in New York City; attended the public schools and the College of the City of New York; was graduated from New York University Law School in 1907; was admitted to the bar in 1909 and commenced practice in New York City; special deputy attorney general of the State of New York 1912-1914; member of the State assembly 1915-1917; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-sixth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Fiorello H.
