National Extremism Tactical Co-ordination Unit
The National Extremism Tactical Co-ordination Unit (NETCU) is a unit of the British Home Office, set up around May 2004 to coordinate intelligence and police action against extremist groups in the UK. The unit is believed to have been set up with particular reference to animal rights activists, and animal rights activism continues to be its primary focus.
