National Commission on Resources for Youth

According to the Forum for Youth Investment, from the late 1960s through the early 1980s, the National Commission on Resources for Youth embarked on a national effort in the United States to expand opportunities for young people to assume active, responsible roles in their communities. Dozens of community meetings, close study of several hundred community organizations and schools, and dialogues among practitioners and other experts helped propel youth participation to national prominence.
