National Southwestern Associated University



When the war broke between China and Japan in 1937, Tsinghua University, Peking University and Nankai University, merged to form Changsha Temporary University in Changsha, and later National Southwestern Associated University (西南聯合大學) in Kunming. After the war, each school moved back and resumed their operation.
